Steadicam is a great tool, developed by Garrett Brown for Rocky. Steadicam essentially separates the operator from the camera thus taking away natural human / bumpy movement and provides steady almost track like movement. It offers a real quality feel where handheld operating will detract and can make shots look cheap!

I have the latest Steadicam rig, this is the Steadicam Ultra II with the G70 arm and Tiffen HD daylight viewable monitor. I have also completed the Steadicam training workshop.
