I have two jimmy jibs both Loler certified, A MKIII and a Triangle
MKIII Jimmy Jib
This is the original tubular jib. The benefits of this jib is that it is quicker to rig / derig than its bigger brother and it is of lighter construction so its easier to move. If you need to squeeze a couple of jib shots into a busy shooting schedule, this is the jib.
Stanton Triangle
The triangle is more heavily constructed, can take larger weights and extend up to 40 ft. It is more stable than its smaller brother but takes a bit longer to rig.
4x4 Jib
A limiting factor with jibs is the ability to move them easily over long distances or uneven terrain. I have had a joyner commando 4x4 professionally adapted to carry a jimmy jib. This means relocating time is slashed and where once you could only manage 3 or 4 setups in a day now you are limited only by how fast you can drive there.
Recent Jib Credits
The Apprentice ( the series ) Grand Designs ( the series ) Property Ladder ( the series ), Katie and Peter the next chapter, Trinny and Susannah, Ultimate Super Hero, The Restaurant, The Smoking House, The Stirling Prize, Supersize vs Superskinny, Any Dream will Do, Build a New Life
Health and Safety
Both my jibs are LOLER certified, we will provide risk assessments after assessing the area where the jib will be operating. We carry PPE and will use it where necessary. A Health and Safety statement will be issued if requested.
